Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago met with the officials of Arab Contractors led by the Global Chairman, Ahmed Moustafa El Assar on how to explore areas in agriculture in Niger state to cut down on global food importation in African Nations

Niger State Government through Niger Foods signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Arab contractors for the development of 250,000 hectares of land in the State for crop production, livestock farming, food processing factories and abattoirs, to pave way for the production of 2 million tons of food annually, provide 2 million, direct and indirect jobs as well as bring in investment of about $1.5bn over a five year period

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago met with the officials of the African Export–Import Bank (AFREXIM Bank) led by the President, Benedict Okey Oramah, on how to secure financial support for the establishment and development of the Suleja smart city project, Minna Airport agricultural free zone, development of the green houses, farm estates and 1 million tons capacity Silo Storage System for food storage to help farmers in reducing post-harvest losses

Governor Umar Bago, alongside the Egyptian Minister of State for Agriculture, visited one of the food storage silo system sites built by Arab Contractors.

 

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago held a session of interaction with the Egyptian Minister of Water Resources to establish areas of collaboration for a lasting solution for access to potable water for drinking and farming in Niger state
